Textured to provide a better grip, its durable, ultra-strong ABS plastic housing is designed to protect the internal workings of the retractable mechanism, and the housing’s tapered cord exit limits the potential for debris being retracted back into the housing when the cord retracts. A handy trigger switch on the top-side of the housing also allows the user to easily lock the cord into a range of fixed lengths and/or quickly release the cord to remove tension or to fully retract it. A slot on the back of the housing accommodates belts and fall-protection harness straps up 2 wide and 0.38 thick, and an included aluminum carabiner with double-action, self-locking gate allows the user to quickly connect to tools. The high-strength, cut-resistant Dyneema cord features a protective sleeve to reduce wear and tear to ensure a long, reliable use life. For added safety, the cord also features a red-colored impact-indicator which is revealed when the system is exposed to forces exceeding 110 lb, to ensure that the wearer is aware when tool drops occur.
